Cinnamon Fern (Osmunda cinnamomea)

Growing in clusters, this tall fern usually is found in swamps, wet woods and bogs, or on springy slopes and stream banks. Separate fertile fronds appear in the spring and turn a cinnamon color before collapsing in early summer. Range: Eastern U.S. and Canada. Grows 20-60 inches tall.

This silk screened and hand painted print comes in an 11 x 14 inch double mat, with a white top mat and a gold under mat edging the print. (Specify your choice of white or cream paper.) In keeping with tradition, the Latin and common names provide identification, and an oriental "seal" created by the artist is used for identification and to balance the work. Printed on Arches and Rives 100% rag printmaking paper.
