Doubleday's Bluet (Enallagma doubledayii)
This is a narrow-winged damselfly with a noticably blue body and clear wings which are held back when it is at rest. You will see them mostly near the coast from Cape Cod to Florida.
Green Darner (Anax junius)
Found throughout N. America near ponds, slow steams and lakes, this dragonfly is one of the fastest and largest. It is also known as the "Snake Doctor" and the "Darning Needle."
This adirondack art print is double matted (11 x 14 inches overall), edged in a gold undermat, with white matting and your choice of white or cream paper. In keeping with tradition, the Latin and common names provide identification, and an oriental "seal" created by the artist is used for identification and to balance the work. Printed on Arches and Rives 100% rag printmaking paper.
