Woodpecker and Banana Blossom

$ 145.00

 A Red-bellied Woodpecker visited our garden several mornings last spring and appeared to be picking the ants off of banana blossom. It flew away only to return a few minutes later, repeating the process. Perhaps it was taking them to the nest to feed its young?  I took a few photos inspiring this piece.

Hand-painted nature prints of banana leaves and extensive colored pencil drawings of the blossom, the Woodpecker and one of its feathers are featured.
Reproduction available in 2 sizes: 11x14" and 15x20"
