After Hurricane Irma swept through the FL Keys in 2017, The Islander Hotel did a full scale renovation. Interior designer Lisa Laufle, of the fabulous Oceanside Home Studios showroom near MM 82, asked us to design pillows for the rooms. Our silvery seahorses and fish printed with ocean blue corals, added an artistic & whimsical touch to the beds and couches in all the rooms.
You can easily spot the iconic Islander Hotel sign as you cruise through the Keys.
The site is also the home of the fairly new History & Discovery Center.
The hotel has a lovely patio restaurant and beautiful grounds on the oceanside of US 1.
