Little Green Herons are fascinating to watch. I spied one stalking something below a Seagrape tree and the bird’s beautiful colors blended in perfectly with those of the green and purple leaves. 

This piece features hand-painted nature prints of seagrape leaves and extensive colored pencil drawings of the branch with a tree snail, hanging grapes, the Little Green Heron and one of its feathers.
