Woodpecker and Banana Blossom
$ 165.00
A Red-bellied Woodpecker visited our garden on a Spring morning and picked the ants off the sweet nectar dripping from a Banana blossom. It flew away and returned several times, repeating the process. Perhaps it was taking them to the nest to feed its young? Or it was just very hungry! I took a few photos that inspired this piece, and now you can bring a bit of the tropical garden into your home.
This colorfully depicted story features detailed illustrations of the unique purple Banana blossom, a Woodpecker and one of its feathers, framed by nature prints of the leaves.
